Six channel trend recorder for hospital central stations
A major medical company needed a real-time desk top printer for patient data.
Requirements included a large paper capacity, real-time trend data printing and
optional Ethernet.
High speed temperature logger
Used by national food chains to quickly verify the safe cooking temperature of food.
The logging feature permits collection of statistical data for HACCP quality control.

Police Vehicle Printer
Custom printer for a county police department. The printer is quite large due to the
requirement to hold one year's worth of paper. Citations and reports are printed
via a telemetry system tied to a central computer.
The printer runs directly off the vehicles 12V system. It has its own fuse, DC-DC
converter and parallel port. Designed for fan-fold paper. The printer automatically
locates the top of the sheet and advances the paper for tear off at the perforation.
The heavy steel case was necessitated by the location of the printer in the "passenger"
area of the police vehicle, where it is subject to abuse.
Custom printer controller board
Parallel Systems designs and manufactures custom printer controller boards.
Customers can specify a particular board outline, connectors and their locations,
as well as special software commands.
The PCB on the left drives a Seiko LTPH245 printer mechanism. It has a DC-DC
converter, non-standard serial interface and customer specified board outline.
